Sudanese Jungle destroyed again

The Sudanese jungle has been destroyed again. People are being chased from every place they try to find shelter. After the big eviction of an old warehouse at the beginning of September, followed by several evictions of abandoned buildings people have attempted to sleep in since, more people took to sleeping in camps in the Jungle.

Camps have repeatedly been built up in this area after the demolition of an old ‘Africa House’ squat near Auchan a year ago in September 2012.

People mainly from Sudan and Chad built shelters amongst bits of woodland near the Channel Tunnel. Home-made shelters were constructed out of tarp and waste materials to shelter from harsh weather of a long winter. These new shelter’s were also destroyed last July.

Having being rebuilt, the PAF this morning totally destroyed the new jungle again.

A hunt for migrants in Calais that never ends…
