Fun in the sun: No Borders at the party for the end of the Summer

About 15 Samba players from Belgium and Germany came to Calais. No Borders activists and samba bands marched through the streets of Calais from Parc Richelieu, going first to the sub prefecture, where the Mayor was celebrating the ‘Hunger for Summer’ party: we were stopped from entering by security backed by local cops, but they agreed we could enter without music and we distributed hundreds of leaflets. Then we paraded to the beach. Finally the Samba played to a very warm audience at the food distribution: people danced, and cheered up to the music.
