On Tuesday morning, a police car truned up at Africa House, followed by 9 or 10 unmarked vehicles. The migrants living there were told that they have approximately two months to remain before their eviction.
Then on Thursday, workers came to fix the hole in the fence that migrants had been using to get out onto the train tracks to escape the CRS, an ominous sign that the police are preparing for another raid.
At 8am on Friday, 3 CRS vans, two unmarked vans, a police car and an unmarked car arrived at Africa House. They arrested about 15 people along with some tools. This was the first raid at Africa House for a couple of weeks.
