The week end was relatively quiet compared to the previous days but still some arrests. In one particularly nasty incident the CRS poured cold water on some Afghan boys – mostly under 18 – who were sleeping out under some arches, around 2am on the 6th. The blankets got wet and unusable and 12 boys were arrested and had to spend the night in the police station. One says they were packed, 6 boys in a small cell with no room to stretch, lying on the floor with filthy blankets that have not been washed for months, the toilet has no door and no walls, basically is just a stinky hole.
Fewer people than usual at food distributions, only 150 at lunch and fewer still at dinner, more than likely the people are scared to walk in the streets because of heavy police repression. More reports of beatings and use of gas.
